moon rise / set workshops
Hello and thank you for your interest in my moon rise workshop! This is an exciting workshop where you learn how to shoot the moon in relation to a New York City landmark such as the Statue of Liberty, World Trade Center, or Empire State Building.
We usually meet in a location that fits the moon trajectory for the date and time of moon rise. Please be prepared for rough terrain (not always but sometimes). Price includes my travel time, gas and tolls, and shooting time. Shooting time is 2 hours and the workshop also includes post processing tips for 1 hour. We will me an hour before moon rise, shoot the rise, then go over post processing. I will teach you how to get a sharp moon with moon details.
Please come with a DSLR or equivalent camera capable of manual settings. (Bulb Mode or Manual Bulb Mode preferred). Sturdy Tripod, remote, and a long zoom is a must. Please have at least a 400mm lens or a shorter zoom with extender. You must have a basic knowledge of how to set your camera.
Moon rise workshops are available any day of the week that the moon is rising at least 1/2 hour before sunset. Can be any moon phase except the new moon. Full moon is preferred but not necessary. Please fill out the form to the left with the date you would be interested in signing up and submit. Then click Sigh Up below to make your reservation for the workshop.
